Gaspari Superpump 250 – Worth It Or Not?
Gaspari are known to produce some well known bodybuilding supplements. Just flick through any major fitness or bodybuilding publication and you will find their adverts surrounded by claims of what it can do for you.
I came across this post on another site called “Best Nitric Oxide supplement” where Gaspari superpump 250 was mentioned from a personal user perspective.
I too have used it personally and will fill you in on the gos! It comes in orange, blue rasberry and tropical flavors. When I first tried the orange flavor I really found it to have a strong taste initially. Over time I actually began to like it and even had two scoops once. This was a mistake as you are supposed to have one and boy did I feel kinda energized and pumped up for training. A bit too “wired” for my liking. Anyway for some people Gaspari superpump 250 may taste a bit strong, but most of you will find it okay.
Superpump 250 is a pre-workout powder drink and not to be compared to post workout recovery shakes, drinks.
So how does this supplement increase Nitric oxide levels?
Good question and the answer to that is simple, the Arginine and Citrulline present that once consumed increase nitric oxide production in the body. What is Arginine and Citrulline? Just check out my post titled what do Nitric oxide supplements actually do. Based on my own experience, after taking Superpump 250 pre-workout I did get a good kick of energy and focus. I think this comes from the taurine, leucine and creatine monohydrate present in the powdered mixture.
Most bodybuilders talk about muscle pump. How much blood flow and vascular do your muscles feel during and after the workout? With Superpump 250 I did feel a good muscle pump and my workout intensity did increase by at least 20% which is impressive in my opinion. The one thing I would advise anyone not to do is take the supplement 3 hours before bedtime, it can keep you awake. I would cycle with superpump i.e. 1 month on, 1 month off to preserve it’s effectiveness on your body.
Gaspari superpump 250, is it worth it? In my opinion yes, based on it’s effectiveness for fitness, gym training. The costs are fairly reasonable compared to cheaper NO (nitric oxide) supplements that just don’t deliver. As mentioned previously, cycle usage to keep it’s effectiveness.
What Do Nitric Oxide Supplements Really Do?
There has been so much talk in recent years about Nitric Oxide supplements. Go into any supplement store and you will see a stack of different NO (Nitric oxide) supplements out there.
But are they really Nitric oxide supplements? I mean are you buying a Nitric oxide pill or powder? The answer is simply No. What you are buying are supplements that convert into Nitric oxide. Nitric oxide supplements contain L-Arginine and Citrulline amino acids. The amino acids are responsible for your body to develop nitric oxide.
Below is an excellent video that tells you what the majority if not all Nitric oxide supplements contain and how they increase the production of Nitric oxide levels in the body. For a comprehensive understanding of Nitric oxide supplements you can visit Nitric oxide bodybuilding supplements.
Without further a do here comes the video. Dr Elizabeth Owings, MD discusses the truth about NO supplements and how you can increase Nitric oxide levels by taking supplements.
From research I have found Nitric oxide supplements to provide a combination of mental focus, maximum energy and an increase in strength. The amino acids Arginine and Citrulline provide the ingredients for NO production in the body. The increase in energy levels come from the likes of Creatine and ginseng extracts. Nitric oxide supplements if taken correctly can help increase blood circulation and give more vascularity.
Do You Know The Difference Between Whey Protein vs Soy Protein?
It’s something many people ask, whey protein vs soy protein, which one is better for me? The answer really depends on who you are and what your nutritional needs are. For example, someone that wants to consume protein quickly and absorb it fast would go for whey protein as opposed to soy protein.
Came across this interesting article that I want to share with you. It describes the exact purpose of protein in our diets and also the main differences between soy and whey.
Here are some interesting highlights about soy & whey protein as mentioned in the article:
“Soy protein has also been found to reduce the symptoms of menopause, to reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis, and to help prevent a number of diseases related to hormonal issues. These include endometrial cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. Soy protein has also been shown to speed up the metabolism of the thyroid, which can help with obtaining a leaner body. If you are intolerant to soy, however, its specific protein can actually have the opposite effect”.
“While soy protein is derived from soybeans, whey protein is derived from milk as a diluted byproduct of the cheese-making process. Fresh liquid whey protein contains only about 1% protein because it is mostly comprised of lactose and water. For this reason, it takes about 229 liters of milk to produce just one kilogram of high quality whey protein isolate”.

Do you supplement with both whey & soy proteins? How easily do you digest soy protein supplements?
There are a combination of whey and soy protein supplements from Optimum Nutrition that I would highly recommend based on protein quality, ease of use and value for money.
Whey Protein Helps Overweight Adults?
Studies have shown that whey protein may help overweight adults lose weight. Whey Protein speeds up metabolism and this in effect makes us lose weight. For people that supplement with whey protein on a daily basis will know their metabolism levels are increased. Many fitness buffs already know this, but independent research studies are proving this fact as well.
Browsing around today, I came across this informative news article that talks about whey protein and weight loss.According to the news article:
“The subjects – 70 overweight or obese men and women – were randomly allocated to replace a portion of their normal diet with whey protein, casein or glucose for 12 weeks.
After the 12 weeks, the researchers found that the whey protein group showed improvements in their cholesterol levels, insulin levels, blood pressure and artery stiffness“.
Whey protein can aid in regulating blood pressure levels and artery stiffness. What’s your opinion on this? Not only does whey protein give us excellent nutrients, it also cuts down cholesterol levels and regulates insulin levels.
Quoting the article again it goes on to say, “”Previous research has indicated that people who consume higher amounts of dairy foods such as milk, yoghurt and cheese tend to have a lower risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes than people who eat little or no dairy foods.1” Ms Zucco said”. “This study suggests that one of the reasons for this may be due to the bioactive proteins found in whey protein.”
Bioactive proteins are known to replace, repair, and regenerate tissue. Did you know this already?
